In a few short weeks, I’m going to be taking the kids out to Disney World for vacation. Instead of relying on the shuttle to take us back and forth, I’d like to get an Orlando car rental. It’ll be a lot less confusing, and we can go wherever we want whenever we want.

What I’m wondering is this-should I get insurance on my Orlando rental cars? I know they say better to be safe than sorry, but I really don’t think I’ll need it. I’ve never been in an accident before, and I don’t think we’ll be driving around enough to be in any danger.

I don’t know. It’s just that a rental car in Orlando can be expensive enough without having to pay insurance. Of course, I also know that it’s not just about getting in a wreck. Someone at the hotel could ding my rental car with their door or someone could decide to vandalize it.

 What is your experience with rental car insurance? Do you usually get it? If so, do you find it to be a good deal? Let me know what you think because I’m pretty new to the whole car rentals scene!
