Plastic Business Cards vs. Paper Business Cards – Which Should You Use?

When you have a business you have to decide what type of business card you are going to use. There are all different types but you need to know the difference between them. The ones that you want to know about are plastic business cards vs. paper business cards.

With the paper business cards you have to give them to your customers and hope that they keep it. Most people tend to throw these away because they are used by businesses all over the world. So when people get these they don’t even pay attention to them anymore. Not only that but the paper cards can rip easily and fall apart, especially if they get wet.

This is why so many businesses are now choosing to use the plastic card. They are made to last a long time and they are durable. Also, when people get these cards they have a harder time throwing them away because they are so much like a credit card that they tend to stick them in their purse or wallet instead of a trashcan.

So if you want to be different than your business competition then you will want to use the plastic ones. You can easily start doing this by finding a plastic card printing service to get them from.

How to Discuss House Plans with your Spouse

Moving in to a custom-designed dream home is an exciting experience. In theory, it should bring couples closer together. But the process of choosing house plans can end up causing problems within even the strongest of relationships. Whereas you may have been willing to compromise on the details of the homes you bought together in the past, the creation of a completely custom-designed home can cause you to be a lot more stubborn about the specifics.

The following tips should help you effectively communicate about house plans with your spouse:

  • You should each make separate lists of the items you absolutely "must have" in the design of the home. Exchange lists and circle anything on the other list that is an absolute no-no for you. These are going to be the problem areas that you’ll know that you have to discuss.
  • Make a list of all of the areas that you don’t care that much about. For example, you may be indifferent to the garage floor plans. Finding areas where one person can shine because the other doesn’t care will help make the home feel more balanced.
  • Always discuss the issue calmly, respectfully and as though you really do believe that you’re going to find a solution to the problem. Keep in mind that you’re creating a home for your future and that future should be built on great communication.

Moving in to a custom home can be really stressful. Don’t let that stress come between you and the person you want to share the home with.

Figuring the Tip at a Tampa Salon

I recently got my hair dyed blonde for the first time at a South Tampa Hair Salon. Immediately after the dye job was done, I had my first "dumb blonde" moment. I was signing the credit card receipt for my haircut and I couldn’t figure out what the tip should be for the hair stylist who had cut and dyed my hair.

The thing is that I have always gone to fairly cheap salons where it’s customary to tip ten percent of the cost of the cut. However, the Tampa Hair Salon that I went to for the dye job was a nice salon. (Hey, nobody wants bad dye when they’re trying to go from brunette to blonde!) So I assumed that I should tip a higher percentage than normal but I wasn’t sure what a good rate would be.

I didn’t want to ask the Tampa Salon staff because I figured it seemed a little bit rude. Besides, I was sure they would only tell me that I could tip whatever I felt comfortable tipping. Ultimately, I decided that I should probably double the tip at a place like this and ended up giving the stylist about twenty percent of the cost of the salon charge.

Later I asked some friends if that sounded right and they agreed that it did. They also commented that it sounded like the dye job had gone to my brain!
