Rihannas Biggest Fan

I’m sure that a lot of people THINK they’re Rihanna’s biggest fan, but it’s just not true.  I am.  I have to be.  I mean, I’m not like insane or anything, like that lady from Nip/Tuck, but I really am her biggest fan.  I have her picture everywhere.  I have a photo blanket with her on it.  I have a custom pillow with her from the SOS video (I loved that video SO much but I think Unfaithful was her best video.  It was almost her video with Maroon 5, but I thought it was implausible because what man would ever reject her?).  And I have a personalized throw with her face on it that she actually signed for me at a signing once.  Isn’t that just the nicest thing?  I mean, I am so in awe of her presence and talent and beauty, and she deigned to notice me.  Even if it was only for two seconds, she met my eyes, she asked my name, and she gave me her time.  How many celebrities can you say that about?  There aren’t many that are really nice to their fans, which is why I really can’t believe what Chris Brown did to her.  I can’t talk about that without crying though, so don’t get me started.

4 Types of Bail

An individual who gets arrested may find that he or she is offered some type of bail. Of course, the legal business is never just a simple business that everyone can understand. There are multiple types of bail that this individual may be offered.

Here is a look at four common types of bail:

  1. Own Recognizance. This is when the person is simply released under the belief that he or she will likely show up for court on the assigned date. This is usually only available to first-time offenders of low-level crimes.
  2. Bail bond. This is when the individual goes to a local bail bonds office (such as a Bail Bonds Orange County or bail bonds Los Angeles office) and pays a portion of the bail in return for the office paying the full bail to the court.
  3. Secured bond. This is a bond in which the individual puts up some sort of collateral for the bail rather than going through a bail bonds service.
  4. Cash bail. In some cases, the individual can pay the full bail without relying on collateral or on the assistance of a bail bonds office.

The individual who is arrested will be told by the court which type of bail is available and what the options are for moving forward with payment of that bail.

New Bachelor Moving…

It’s been a long time since I’ve lived alone but finally my divorce is settled and I’m starting life anew.  I have lived on a residential street with my wife and four children for the last 25 years and now we have decided to go our separate ways.  I need someone to point me in the right direction of some townhouse style homes.  Having lived in a five bedroom relatively large property, there was always so much to do with the home security systems not to mention plumbing and electrical maintenance.  Now, at 54, I want to let a land lord or lady do the hard work for me.  I am choosing the Los Angeles area because I want a big city with lots to do where I can hopefully meet new people.  Although I would prefer not to deal with the hassle of a house, if there were some small one or two bedroom home available in the city, I would be interested.  In case I do end up in a house, what are the ADT security systems like in LA?  Is there one Home Security Los Angeles company that is better than the other? If anyone could lend me some advice, I am staying with a friend right now and looking to move out of suburbia and into the city to start my new life as soon as possible.  Thanks!

Searching for a College Near Party Town

A friend of mine decided recently that it was a good idea to try and go to college for golf.  He started checking out various golf colleges and mainly kept his focus on warm climates and those near what he deemed “great party towns.”

He started his search with Arizona golf schools.  He thought that Phoenix would be a fantastic spot to go to school in.  Also, it was close to Nevada and Las Vegas.  Next, he decided to Google “golf school San Diego.”   Naturally, this even peaked my interest as I like Los Angeles and San Diego isn’t too terribly far.  Also, you are in close proximity to the ocean.  Las Vegas is only about a day’s drive away at most, so you still have “Sin City” within reach.

Personally, I don’t care much for partying.  I plan to go to college to get my computer degree and I need my time to study.  Also, I am not really into the whole Frat scene.  I will probably wind up going to some type of technical school to get my degree to save time and money.

In the end, I am pretty sure my friend will not wind up at a golf college.  The main reason is that he cannot play golf.  Someone going to a golf college that cannot play golf is like sending someone to Navy Seal training that can’t swim.  It doesn’t make much sense.

As much as my friend likes Vegas, he should just apply for school in Vegas.  What happens in Vegas fails students out of college in Vegas.

The Good Old Days

I remember back in the old days of the internet when getting noticed by search engines was a lot easier.  People did not have to employ a search engine optimization company in order to get their sites to the top of a list.  Mainly, all you needed was a relevant website that wasn’t poorly coded, and you could then submit to a web directory.

Then sites such as Google came out and everything changed.  There are so many search algorithms out there that someone usually needs some type of SEO training in order to be able to optimally code their site.  What is also amazing is that the web search engines can now find your site without you ever having to submit the site to a directory. In the past, if you didn’t submit your site, you would never be listed on a search engine.  I know this to be fact as I had a site that I didn’t want indexed.  Of course, that changed after Google.

SEO has also become big business.  There are all kinds of companies that offer SEO packages to those businesses that cannot afford to employ their own full time webmaster, etc.  Of course, things in the IT world are always changing.  I would not be surprised that in 10 years we are talking about how that SEO used to be so simple.
