Height is Malleable

In the future, your height will not be something you are born with – it will be something you can change. Something you can mold and edit to fit your mood, so that you can be as tall as you want to be in order to command authority amongst your peers.

Well what if I told you that the future is here today. There are ways of growing taller that you can implement so that you can have the height you want, rather than the height you were “born with.”

How to Grow Taller

It all starts by increasing your human growth hormone levels using supplements designed to improve your body’s growth and development processes. Once you have increased the level of the hormone in your body, you will instantly begin to start to increase your height as well, which is often stalled and stopped due to the lack of production of the hormone naturally.

But the best part about this method is that it is completely safe. You hear on TV about how they can break bones to make you taller – this is a method that requires no bone breaking and is simple and easy to use, with a daily dose that anyone can handle.

What Makes a Perfect Home?

I see a ton of new "custom" homes going up every day.  Custom home builders in Florida certainly have their hands full — and each of these unique homes is certainly beautiful.  But sometimes I can’t help but wonder, does it really take a FL custom luxury home builder to create a perfect home?

What really makes a perfect home?  Sure, these custom homes are beautiful, but does that make them a home?  Call me an idealist, but I think a happy, loving home beats the showroom-perfect home any day.  High ceilings, large kitchens, and a bathroom for every member of the family are all great features in a house, but in some ways modern houses also support the lack of communication that has become a centerpiece for many families.

Now, I’m not saying anything against anyone who chooses to hire a luxury home builder in Florida.  I think if you have the money and the inclination, a beautiful custom home is certainly in your rights.  What I am saying, though, is not to make the mistake of thinking that keeping up with the Joneses will make you happy.  Perfection isn’t something that you can measure in square footage!

Flow Meters in Everyday Applications

Do you know what a liquid flow calibrator or an ultrasonic water flowmeter is?  Have you ever heard of manufacturers such as Sierra Instruments?  Probably not, yet they are a bigger part of your life than you realize.  Flow meters play an important part in your everyday life, whether you realize it or not.

Here are several everyday applications for flow meters:

  • Measuring your water usage.  You probably have a water meter either on the side of your house or in your basement.  This tells the water company how much water you are using, so that they can charge you for just that amount, rather than charging everyone a fixed amount.  Back in the day, someone walked from house to house, writing down those readings, but these days they can simply pull up in front of the house and download the reading onto an electronic device.
  • Measuring your energy usage.  Energy companies also need to measure the amount of natural gas and other forms of energy you use.
  • Keeping your car running.  A car’s engine requires a very precise mixture of fuel and air in order to run properly.  A mass air flow sensor measures the amount of air flowing into your intake, and the computer measures the gases in the exhaust to make sure the car is getting enough fuel to balance the amount of air.

Even if you don’t know what a flow meter is, it’s a crucial part of your life!

Strangely Common Objects In Art

I have a love for art. I’m not an artist per se but I’m definitely one of those creative people who is always attending art gallery openings and going to art museums. And since I’ve seen a lot of art, I’ve also started to see patterns in art that I didn’t notice when I first started frequenting these types of places.

One of the things I’ve noticed is that there are a lot of objects that turn up again and again in mixed media and found art pieces. These are objects that you wouldn’t typically associate with art but which you’ll find in many art displays nonetheless. For example, I’ve recently seen the following objects in more than one art display around town:

  • Tins for mints. Perhaps it’s because these are so common or maybe not but for some reason they are constantly turning up in art.
  • Traffic safety products. Things like traffic cones must disappear from the roads a lot because they’re often in galleries.
  • Chunks of big products. Car parts, pieces of jersey barriers and other bits off of big things are repurposed in sculptural art quite often.

I suppose that part of the reason that these things end up in art is because there are a lot of them waiting around to be used but sometimes it surprises me just how often these odd objects become art pieces.

The Fun of Christmas in July

The holidays are often so stressful and busy that we don’t really have time to enjoy them. What many people don’t realize is that the holidays are a whole lot more relaxing if you enjoy them at a different time of year than when they normally take place.

For example, spend the summer making personalized gifts and then host a "Christmas in July" party for everyone you know. This brings all of the fun of the holiday season without all of the stress that normally accompanies it.

This can be done with other holidays as well. Pull out the dog halloween costumes, the wizard of oz costumes and the other costumes that were worn last Halloween and throw a big costume party. Or just get out the superman costume for the kids to play Halloween with during a long summer day.

These events aren’t going to take the place of the original holiday. You’re still going to need to meet your family obligations when the real holiday comes around. But these experiences can remind you about the fun that these holidays are supposed to be about.

Pick your favorite holiday and figure out what you can do to have fun with it. You’ll be surprised by the seasonal boost it gives to your life!
